Peter Arpin and Jim Murphy will be bringing you ARBOR DAY 2015 live from the RIC Bee Education Center as part of Rhode Island College's week long celebration of EARTH WEEK.

Helping with the festivities will be Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management Director, Janet Coit, who will host an Arbor Day tree planting of two red maples at the site. Along with the festivities,  Peter and Jim will discuss Rhode Island College's new Bachelor's program in Environmental Studies to meet a growing economic and social need.

Other special guests include: U.S. Senator Jack Reed, North Providence Mayor Charles Lombardi, and RI State Forester, Bruce Payton.

Suzy Alba, Rhode Island College's newly appointed Director of Alumni Affairs, speaks about the celebration taking place and the impressive alumni community that has grown out of RIC, and the importance of staying connected.

Maria speaks about her experience as an Art Major at Rhode Island College and why she is so passionate about pursuing an art career.


 James Montford, Bannister Gallery Director


James Montford speaks about his role as the director of the Bannister Gallery and how the Alex and Ani Art Center will help play a key role in what he does in connecting faculty, students, and the community together through art and culture.

Richard Lallo speaks about the changes he has seen at Rhode Island College from the perspective of a RIC alum who graduated  in the class of '71.
